April, 1978 the light blue, calmed sky, appears behind the clothed bodies.
The entitled painting "L'éveil du printemps"( "The spring's
awakening" ) (51x134 in.) shows a feminine main shape which spreads
its arms and streches its wings on the other side as the cicada is exiting
the ground. Colours are pastel, pink, mauve, and symbolise the hope of the

The following painting (H 78.8.9.10) is made by
three canvases stretcher (51x105 in.). The central figure, obviouly feminine,
is surrounded with two male figures which look at it. Colours are soft, pearly.
It is named " Desdémone et les Prétendants"("Desdemona and
the Pretenders"), a compliment to the unfortunate fiancée
of the More of Venice and to the virtuous wife of Ulysses, the Mediterranean
Sea persevering traveler.

series of "Drapé" which had begun very dramatically, with crucified
forms and tortured self-portraits ( see paintings and drawings of 1977)
