From1973 to nowadays, in the same way as the environment,
the body is interrogated by its relation with elements and by the way
it can occupy the space limited by the canvas stretcher.

The head being mostly "off camera", it has all the more freedom to mean its initial strength.

It is only very recently that faces appear. They are faces of African women.
They occupy immediately all the space of the painting,
one sees them in front view, in very close-up, and one can not escape their glances.
They ARE simply, they say us their reality with simplicity, even if it is not simple, and although all
this is not so simple.
